Preparation for the Katha

Puja Items Needed:

  • Lord Vishnu’s idol or picture.
  • Kalash (sacred pot), coconut, mango leaves.
  • Puja thali with turmeric, kumkum, sandalwood paste, rice, flowers, and fruits.
  • Five varieties of dry fruits and bananas.
  • Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, honey, sugar, curd, and ghee).
  • Prasad: Typically sooji halwa or sweetened rice.

Set up the Puja Area: Clean the area, spread a cloth, and place the idol of Lord Satyanarayan. Arrange the kalash and puja items.
